Como instalar fontes MS no Ubuntu?

Question

Eu fiz sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer e parece que é com sucesso. Mas por que não estou vendo novas fontes? (por exemplo, quando eu tenho que selecionar fonte no meu perfil para o meu terminal)?

As fontes foram definitivamente instaladas corretamente, diz o log.

Seu problema, no entanto, provavelmente está menos relacionado ao fato de as fontes não estarem na lista, mas do fato de você estar tentando usar as fontes incorretas. O gerenciador de perfil do terminal da GUI só permite escolher fontes de largura fixa ou monoespaçada por padrão. Isso significa que uma fonte com a qual você pode ver (se você quiser definitivamente no Terminal) se o msfonts está acessível ou não no Ubuntu seria o Courier New .

Eles também devem estar disponíveis no LibreOffice.

Pode haver uma maneira de forçar a exibição de uma fonte não monoespaçada no Terminal, alterando os arquivos de perfil para apontar para a fonte correta, mas isso não é recomendado, pois as fontes monoespaçadas têm como objetivo fazer formatação somente de texto (fe ASCII desenhos, tabelas baseadas em caracteres) possíveis.

No LibreOffice Writer, acesse Ferramentas - > Opções - > Fontes Coloque uma verificação no campo Aplicar tabela de substituição. Substitua algumas fontes que você não quero com o que você faz. O Writer parece disponibilizar todas as novas fontes em esse tempo.
