Agora há pacotes no Thunderbird Next PPA para 3.3 alpha 2: link
Este PPA também conterá futuras versões alfa e beta do Thunderbird 3.3
Eu queria experimentar o Thunderbird 3.3a2, então baixei-o do site do Thunderbird . Eu extraí e tentei executar os dois arquivos. No entanto estou recebendo arquivo não pode ser executado erro.

O que estou perdendo? Eu também tentei dar permissão total (777) para todos os três arquivos, ainda sem sorte. Tentei usar o sudo também.
