update-initramfs tentando criar initrd.img-new

Ubuntu 16.04, quando tento atualizar o initramfs (ou o apt), estou recebendo alguns erros. Parece que está tentando gerar uma versão do kernel 'nova' que está chutando um erro. Alguma idéia de como consertar isso?

Eu tive um problema semelhante e corrigi-o assim:

sudo update-initramfs -d -k new

Isso deve remover o falso /boot/initrd.img-new . Em seguida, tente seu comando novamente:

sudo update-initramfs -u -k all
