libx11-dev não pode instalar

Eu corro o comando sudo apt-get install libx11-dev e ele retorna com um erro informando:

that the package it needs to download does not exist in the online pool. a >¨404 page not found" error.

Tente primeiro atualizar a lista de pacotes:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install libx11-dev 

se isso não funcionar, por favor poste o erro apt-get.
