Erro: alguns arquivos de índice não foram baixados no sudo apt-get update após a instalação do ubuntu 14.1 [closed]

Eu sou novo no Ubuntu. Acabei de instalar o Ubuntu 14.1 ao lado do Windows 10. Eu instalei 64 bits amd-64 (Ubuntu). Quando tento instalar o Git ou Java ou qualquer software, eu preciso digitar o comando sudo apt-get update . mas ele pega muitas coisas e pára no meio com alguns erros como eu dei abaixo

O Ubuntu Utopic Unicorn está em fim de vida e não é mais suportado. Foi EOL por mais de dois anos.

Os repositórios são removidos dos espelhos para economizar espaço em disco, já que nenhuma nova atualização será adicionada de qualquer maneira.

A solução é atualizar para uma versão mais recente, usando as ferramentas gráficas ou fazendo sudo do-release-upgrade em um terminal. Uma boa alternativa pode ser reinstalar com uma versão mais recente, pois isso provavelmente levará menos tempo.

Se você quiser um ambiente suportado por um longo tempo, considere os lançamentos LTS, que são suportados por cinco anos, em comparação com as versões regulares suportadas por 10 meses.

Para atualizar com sucesso do Utopic para uma versão atual, edite seu /etc/apt/sources.list , usando seu editor favorito como root.

Substitua http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu por http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu . Depois disso, execute sudo apt-get update e, em seguida, você pode tentar sudo do-release-upgrade .

O atual LTS, 16.04 está programado para se tornar em fim de vida em 2021.
