Eu tentei usar o ssh em uma nova instância do 16.04 EC2, mas recebi uma "Permissão negada (publickey)". Eu posso usar a mesma chave para acessar uma nova instância do Amazon Linux. Parece-me que é um problema sshd não gostar da minha chave, mas não consigo descobrir o que preciso fazer para corrigir (a Amazon parece ser capaz de criar chaves RSA de 256 bits). Alguma sugestão?

Para o Ubuntu, você deseja usar ubuntu@<ip> não ec2-user@<ip> .
O problema está na permissão de publickey.
Altere para 400 com o comando
chmod 400 /home/ivan/.ssh/my-web.pem
Tente novamente. Deve estar funcionando.
