Não há necessidade de mexer nos módulos do kernel.
Você também pode verificar se o dispositivo está ativado por
xinput list-props 10
No meu antigo laptop, uso este script para desativar / ativar o touchpad:
(lsmod | grep psmouse > /dev/null) && sudo rmmod psmouse || sudo modprobe psmouse
mas este script não funciona mais no ASUS ROG GL522, como posso desativar / ativar o touchpad neste laptop?
