Eu estou tentando instalar o kernel 3.16 no Ubuntu 14.04. Eu estava seguindo as instruções http://askubuntu.com/questions/506956/how-can-i-install-3-16-kernel-on-ubuntu-14-04 para instalar o kernel. Eu tenho esses erros:

Você não precisa instalar o kernel 3.16 no Ubuntu 14.04 dessa maneira.
Este kernel foi incluído no repositório de atualizações confiáveis.
Instale desta forma
sudo apt-get install linux-generic-lts-utopic
para o kernel genérico ou
sudo apt-get install linux-lowlatency-lts-utopic
para o kernel de baixa latência.
O kernel receberá atualizações de segurança automaticamente na atualização normal & amp; processo de atualização.
