Tudo que você precisa fazer é instalar a versão correta do wine1.6 para o seu sistema operacional Ubuntu 14.10 de 64 bits. Abra o terminal e digite:
sudo apt install wine1.6
Se você também quiser instalar winetricks, execute o seguinte comando:
sudo apt install winetricks
É possível adicionar o PPA e instalar através do terminal. apenas digite -
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
Em seguida, atualize as informações do pacote APT executando sudo apt-get update .
Agora você pode instalar o Wine digitando sudo apt-get install wine1.7
