Ubuntu recém-instalado no laptop, sem fio não será fuction

Estou trabalhando em um novo Toshiba Satellite c855d, e nesta manhã ele tinha o Windows 7 nele. Sem fio estava funcionando. Quando iniciei o Ubuntu, o wireless estava mais uma vez funcionando.

Instalei o 12.04 nele e agora a conexão sem fio não está mais funcionando. Não sei bem o que fazer e não tenho muito conhecimento sobre o assunto.

NOTA: Isso não funcionará no Ubuntu 12.10

Acesse o site da Realtek e procure seu chipset.

Faça o download do driver apropriado para seu cartão WiFi e descompacte-o em seu diretório pessoal. Agora você deve ter uma pasta “rtl8192ce_ *” no seu diretório pessoal. Obtenha as ferramentas necessárias para compilar o driver.

sudo apt-get update 
sudo apt-get install --reinstall linux-headers-generic build-essential

Agora precisamos descarregar e bloquear os módulos / drivers originais do kernel do kernel. Caso contrário, eles desestabilizariam o driver da Realtek que vamos instalar:

sudo rmmod rtl8192ce

Para colocar os drivers / módulos originais do kernel na lista negra, abra o gedit:

gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Agora insira as duas linhas seguintes no final do arquivo:

blacklist rtl8192ce
blacklist rtlwifi

Finalmente, é hora de compilar e instalar o driver oficial do Realtek.

cd rtl8192ce_*/
make clean
make
sudo make install
exit
Reboot

Para garantir que você esteja usando o driver correto, execute lspci -v e role para baixo até a placa Realtek WiFi. A linha “Kernel driver in use” deve ler “rtl8192CE” (observe as duas maiúsculas no final), e você deve ter um novo módulo de kernel “r8192ce_pci” instalado.
