Como impedir que o Dovecot registre-se no syslog

Estou executando o Ubuntu 16.04 com o pacote Dovecot para imap e Roundcube para sua interface da web. Tudo está funcionando muito bem, a não ser que eu não consiga que o Dovecot pare de registrar os logins do imap e os logouts do imap no syslog.

Coisas que são registradas no syslog e no mail.log e que eu quero ter registrado apenas no mail.log:

Em uma nota lateral: o cron também ainda está persistindo no log do syslog, e não consegue fazer isso parar. Não tenho certeza se isso tem a mesma causa.

Pergunta: como eu faço o Dovecot log apenas para o recurso de registro de e-mail e não para o syslog?

Crie a configuração completa por:

doveconf -a > fullconfig.txt

Procure por opções implícitas de registro com = syslog como destino.

Altere todos os indesejados para o = /dev/null .
