Eu descobri, o roteador que eu uso como um gateway / switch wifi está bloqueando o samba por alguma razão, não um problema na minha máquina ubuntu
Eu tenho um servidor Ubuntu 16.04 que estou tentando configurar como um roteador com compartilhamentos samba. A parte do roteador funciona agora é o samba com o qual estou tendo problemas.
O servidor se conecta à internet através de um roteador Verizon que está configurado para o serviço de firewall. Esse roteador da Verizon fornece uma rede LAN primária na qual o Samba funciona "fora da caixa".
Agora, meu problema é que estou executando o isc-dhcp-server no Ubuntu Server, e estou executando uma rede LAN secundária através da segunda placa ethernet. LAN na qual gostaria de ter o servidor Samba acessível, mas não pode. Eu tentei adicionar o nome da interface em /etc/samba/smb.conf e ajustá-lo, mas sem alegria.
Então, como faço para que o samba fique acessível a partir da LAN na qual o servidor se conecta e da LAN que ele encaminha?

estou faltando alguma coisa no iptables? fiz algo errado no smb.conf? é algo completamente diferente? qualquer ajuda é apreciada
