Windows 10 NÃO está pedindo senha para compartilhamentos samba do Ubuntu

Recentemente, fiz uma instalação limpa do 16.04.3LTS em um novo laptop. Estou tentando compartilhar arquivos do meu laptop ubuntu na minha rede doméstica. Eu quero que apenas usuários específicos possam acessar os compartilhamentos de samba e exigir autenticação de senha. Atualmente, o Windows 10 tem acesso total sem necessidade de senha ???? O que há de errado com minha configuração do samba?

Antes que alguém diga que deve ser um problema com as credenciais do Windows 10 ... Eu já tentei remover todas as credenciais da rede (na verdade não havia nenhuma) e ainda tenho o mesmo problema.

Isso geralmente acontece quando o usuário do samba corresponde ao usuário atualmente conectado. Então, se você criar um compartilhamento de samba para CHAD e no PC remoto, seu nome de usuário também é CHAD, ele não pedirá uma senha e deixará você entrar. (Acredito que as senhas também têm que corresponder, elas se transformam em um login automático) por assim dizer).

Agora, se você quiser que o compartilhamento exija uma senha, não importa o quê, o que você poderia tentar é adicionar a linha security = user ao seu smb.conf e ele deve exigir uma senha agora. / p>

Isso tudo está assumindo que ambos os nomes de usuários no cliente e no servidor são os mesmos.
