Bluetooth não funciona Ubuntu 16.04

Estou tentando usar o Bluetooth em uma máquina usando um dongle bluetooth. Ele funciona bem no Windows 7, mas estou tendo problemas no Ubuntu.

Quando vou para as configurações do sistema e vou para o Bluetooth, ele está desativado e informa "o Bluetooth está desativado". Quando eu clico no interruptor Bluetooth, ele diz que está ligado, mas na caixa abaixo ele ainda diz "o Bluetooth está desativado". Se eu sair das configurações do sistema e voltar para ele, o switch volta a funcionar. Não há status de Bluetooth na barra de menus, apesar de essa caixa de seleção estar marcada.
