Erros ao executar a atualização do apt-get (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)

eu corri

    apt-get update
    apt-get upgrade

e tudo estava indo bem até que isso aconteceu:

Para mim, parece memória suficiente para executar uma atualização. Em seguida, tento:

Neste ponto, não sei qual é o problema que preciso tentar corrigir. Eu realmente apreciaria se alguém pudesse me apontar na direção certa.
