Eu tenho um processador Intel i3-6100 executando o Xubuntu 16.04. Eu gostaria de ter o Mplayer funcionando.
Eu tentei algumas soluções alternativas. O VLC, por exemplo, funciona, especialmente se eu ativar a exibição do X11 . Mas eu preciso do Mplayer para certos vídeos (fluxos de transporte MPEG que não iniciam em um limite legal), e acredito que o DVBcut também o usa.
Quando tento usar o Mplayer em qualquer vídeo, por exemplo, um vídeo MPEG2, obtenho uma janela sem vídeo, sem áudio e com os seguintes erros:

Alguém sugeriu experimentar o sudo para esse tipo de erro. Então eu tentei sudo.

A pesquisa de uma solução para o problema de áudio finalmente forneceu uma solução. Havia dois binários do mplayer no meu sistema! / usr / local / bin / mplayer era o padrão. Mas quando eu tentei / usr / bin / mplayer, tudo funcionou. (Exceto o áudio DVBCut).
Então, eu me livrei de / usr / local / bin / mplayer. sudo gzip /usr/local/bin/mplayer apenas no caso de eu precisar novamente.
