Conectando sem fio no Ubuntu 15.10 (Intel AC 7260)

Eu tenho lutado com isso há algum tempo e não tenho ideia de como consertar isso. Eu li o inúmeros outros posts sobre este tema, mas nenhuma das soluções me ajudou.

Então aqui está a versão curta do meu problema: eu posso procurar redes, mas não consigo me conectar.

Eu consegui conectar antes, mas a intensidade do sinal era muito fraca. Uma vez que mudei mais a máquina do roteador (< 3 ft), não consigo mais me conectar.

Já experimentei os vários encantamentos de options em /etc/modprobe/iwlwifi.conf e eles não parecem ajudar. Atualmente, este arquivo se parece com:

# iwlwifi will dyamically load either iwldvm or iwlmvm depending on the
# microcode file installed on the system.  When removing iwlwifi, first

Atualizar Eu fui em frente e atualizei para 15.10 para ver se um kernel mais novo ajudaria as coisas. O cartão ainda se comporta da mesma forma.

Por uma sugestão no ubuntuforums.org , fui em frente e tentei o firmware backported ( 17), como deveria melhorar a confiabilidade com este cartão. Mais uma vez sem melhora ...

Com base neste link Intel certifica o kernel 4.2 para esta placa wifi. Sim, há um trabalho que se pode tentar, mas que pode ajudar temporariamente. Por favor, consulte o meu thread .

Eu tinha o Intel AC 3165 e tentei fazê-lo funcionar no Ubuntu Desktop 14.04 LTS com a solução alternativa ... um pouco de sucesso, mas a conexão costumava cair a cada 10 a 15 minutos.

Finalmente eu atualizei para o Ubuntu Desktop 15.10 que vem com o kernel 4.2.x e está funcionando bem depois disso.

Seletivamente você pode apenas atualizar seu kernel para 4.2 no Ubuntu 14.04 LTS também. Mas você precisa ter trabalho para outros aplicativos. Acredito que vale a pena tentar atualizar para o Ubuntu 15.10, já que é fácil atualizar para o 16.04 LTS no próximo mês.
