Script de informações sem fio

O método mais fácil e completo de coletar informações para ajudar a diagnosticar problemas de conexão sem fio é executar o script de informações sem fio que criamos nos Fóruns do Ubuntu para coletar todas as informações mais comuns necessárias enquanto mascara todos os dados confidenciais .

Abra um terminal com Ctrl + Alt + T e execute estes comandos:

wget -N -t 5 -T 10 https://github.com/UbuntuForums/wireless-info/raw/master/wireless-info &&
  chmod +x wireless-info &&
  ./wireless-info

Isso criará o arquivo "wireless-info.txt" no local de onde é executado e, dependendo do seu tamanho, um arquivo adicional chamado "wireless-info.tar.gz". Informações confidenciais, como endereços MAC e chaves WPA / WEP, são mascaradas automaticamente.

Se você não conseguir se conectar à internet com o sistema afetado, inclusive por meio de uma conexão com fio, você terá que mover arquivos entre ele e um sistema conectado à Internet. Um stick USB provavelmente seria o método mais fácil para isso.

De quais informações precisamos? Isso:

  • O que você tentou? O que aconteceu quando você tentou?
  • O que você quer dizer com "não funciona"? O applet indicador parece mostrar conectividade, mas você não pode acessar nenhuma página da web? O applet indicador está congelado? Não presente? Você pode selecionar uma conexão a partir do applet indicador, mas a senha dessa conexão não funciona?
  • Qual é a marca da sua máquina e qual versão do Ubuntu você está executando?
  • Já funcionou alguma vez? (isto é, funcionou durante algum tempo e parou de funcionar? Funcionou no Windows mas não no Ubuntu? Funcionou com 12.04 mas não com 13.10?)

O Guia de solução de problemas sem fio do Ubuntu parece estar atualizado, então isso pode ser um bom ponto de partida. Alguns comandos úteis lá:

Se a sua rede sem fio já trabalhou nessa instalação antes e você deseja solucionar uma conexão:

  • nm-tool fornecerá um relatório sobre o estado do seu gerenciador de rede e de todos os dispositivos conectados.
  • rfkill ativará ou desativará os dispositivos de rede. rfkill --list listará todos os dispositivos disponíveis e fornecerá algumas pistas sobre seu estado. Você pode precisar executar isso como root .
  • ifdown e ifup trarão as interfaces de rede para cima e para baixo. Se você alterou as configurações, parar e iniciar (como root) com ifdown wlan0 e ifup wlan0 pode ajudar.
  • Não sabe ao certo quais são as suas interfaces de rede? Experimente ifconfig -a

Se você não tiver certeza de ter drivers instalados, descubra com lshw se a placa sem fio está integrada ou lspci (para placas PCI - menos provável nos dias de hoje) ou lsusb (para um dispositivo sem fio USB). lshw -C network exibirá detalhes do hardware na classe "rede", que é o que você deseja.
