OpenVPN - cliente Linux não pôde acessar internet, problema de roteamento

Eu instalei o servidor OpenVPN por um bom tempo com a opção de gateway que todo o tráfego da Internet é roteado.

Funciona bem para máquinas cliente como o Windows e meu telefone Android, mas a mesma configuração de cliente Open VPN no meu notebook unbuntu parece não funcionar. cliente se conecta, mas o tráfego da Internet parece não ser roteado.

O ping do servidor funciona: ping 10.8.0.1

não tenho certeza do que está faltando. Eu tentei até agora as seguintes opções

  • adicionado ao cliente uma configuração de rota: rota 10.8.0.0/24
  • adicionado via console uma configuração de rota: sudo route add -net 10.8.0.0/24 gw 10.8.0.1 dev tun0
  • desativado firewall no cliente

Eu poderia resolver o problema diminuindo as "métricas" do meu cartão ethernet / wifi. você pode diminuir as métricas (prioridade) das entradas de roteamento para sua placa de rede através do comando "route" ou usando a ferramenta adicional " ifmetric " (sudo apt-get instala ifmetric) ie ifmetric eth0 100 (0 = prioridade mais alta)

Depois disso, reconheci que as entradas de DNS do servidor openvpn não foram assumidas quando a conexão vpn foi configurada. então eu pesquisei e encontrei uma resposta que você precisa adicionar no cliente ubuntu as seguintes linhas em seu arquivo de configuração:

script-security 2
up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

Isso atualiza as entradas de DNS no /etc/resolv.conf quando a conexão vpn é estabelecida usando as entradas enviadas pelo servidor.

Por isso, funciona agora como um encanto.
