Dual Boot Ubuntu 14.04 muito lento Wifi

Tenho o laptop HP pavillion-g6 e instalei o Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS com o Windows 7 dual boot. A conexão WiFi é muito lenta. Fiz o teste no speedtest.net e recebi 0,20 MB, mas o esperado é de 5 a 7 MB. Além disso, o WiFi funciona perfeito no Windows 7

Não sou especialista, mas talvez seja necessário instalar um driver de terceiros para sua placa wireless. A maneira mais fácil de fazer isso é ir para Configurações > Software & amp; Atualizações > Drivers adicionais e verifique se há um driver sem fio listado que você possa ativar.

Caso contrário, você pode precisar fazer o download do driver manualmente e, nesse caso, a documentação que acompanha o driver pode listar as informações de solução de problemas.

Para encontrar o nome da sua placa wireless, abra um terminal e execute:

sudo lshw -C
