Eu tenho o notebook Acer Aspire V3-772G com a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M.
Eu tinha um 13.04 com o Windows 8 até recentemente e tudo funciona bem. Mas quando eu tento instalar o 13.10 do usb ele falha durante a inicialização. De acordo com os logs, a razão é que o não suporta minha placa de vídeo e, portanto, o servidor X não pode ser iniciado.
Então, como posso substituir o driver nouveau na imagem ISO por um driver NVIDIA proprietário?
Tentei fazer o download do driver NVIDIA 331.20 (.run), configurar nomodeset e, quando o erro ocorreu, executei estas etapas:
- Renomeie o arquivo baixado
nvidia.run (por conveniência) e mova-o para meu diretório pessoal
- Instale bibliotecas para compilar as coisas:
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-uname -r

Redefina o xorg.conf para o estado básico: sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Desativar o Gerenciador de tela: sudo /etc/init.d/mdm stop
- Execute o instalador nvidia:
sudo sh nvidia.run
(E o driver 331.20 - realmente instalado (assim eu posso ver libglx.so.331.20 em / usr / lib / xorg / modules / extensions))
- renomeie a origem libglx.so para libglx.so.orig e libglx.so.331.20 para libglx.so (crie um link com
ln -s )

e ainda vejo o mesmo. Erro:

Alguém pode me dizer como instalar corretamente o Ubuntu 13.10 no meu laptop? Obrigado pelo avanço ...
