Ubuntu 13.10: Não é possível conectar-se ao Wifi

Acho que estou usando um adaptador Wi-fi muito infame, porque experimentei tudo na Internet e acho que é hora de pedir ajuda individual:

Não consigo me conectar à minha rede Wi-fi, estou em uma área de trabalho. Com um adaptador de rede, o adaptador de rede é: Netgear WNA1000M,

Eu sei que não é um problema de distância ou de hardware, já que posso me conectar à rede Wi-Fi usando o Windows (tenho o boot duplo do Windows 8.1 e Ubuntu 13.10).

e eu não tenho nenhum outro Hotspot, então decidi me conectar a um Android Hotspot e funcionou. Eu não sei o que está errado e preciso de ajuda,

A única solução no momento é a USB Tether my Wi-fi usando o meu Samsung Phone para o meu computador, e não é uma solução que eu gosto, eu gostaria de usar Wireless.

O Netgear WNA1000M é o chipset Realteck RTL8188CUS, que é suportado pelo driver rtlwifi , mas você também pode tentar com o ndiswrapper .

Para instalar o rtlwifi:

Faça o download do driver na sua área de trabalho, depois extraia-o.

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential
cd ~/Desktop/compat- (complete with tab)
./scripts/driver-select rtlwifi
make
sudo make install
sudo modprobe rtl8192cu

Abra o aplicativo UBUNTU Update na última guia para encontrar o hardware que não foi instalado. clique na instalação e você está pronto para ir.

Alguns drivers precisam da sua permissão para serem instalados devido a problemas legais.
