sudo dpkg --configure -a

sudo apt-get install -f
o problema de um pacote quebrado ainda existe, a solução é editar o arquivo de status do dpkg manualmente.
sudo nano /var/lib/dpkg/status
Localize o pacote corrompido (mfc8500lpr.postrm) e remova todo o bloco de informações sobre ele e salve o arquivo.
sudo dpkg -i --force-all [deb file path]
Esse é o caminho do arquivo mfc8500lpr:i386
.
