Eu quero saber se o Ubuntu funcionará melhor que o Windows XP no meu Dell Inspiron 1300 [duplicado]

Eu tenho um Dell Inspiron 1300 atualizado de 7 anos atrás que meus pais deram ao meu como presente de aniversário. Atualmente possui 2 gb de memória RAM e 160 bg de memória de núcleo duro. Ele tem uma placa de vídeo da Família de chipsets Intel 910 GML Express para portáteis e um processador Intel Celeron a 1.60 GHz. Eu adoraria saber se, ao instalar o Ubuntu no meu computador, poderei ter um melhor desempenho enquanto assisto a vídeos e streaming de material on-line.

A configuração do seu sistema é mais que suficiente para rodar o Ubuntu. Sim, ele terá melhor desempenho do que o Windows XP. Embora eu sugira que você use o Ubuntu 12.04 LTS sobre a versão mais recente do Ubuntu, como 12.10 , 13.04 e 13.10 , porque:

  • É um suporte de longo prazo e, portanto, tem suporte até abril de 2017.
  • Possui o recurso de Unity 2D ambiente de área de trabalho que requer menos recursos e que é removido após 12.10 .
  • Funciona melhor que a versão mais recente do Ubuntu no sistema de baixa configuração.

Eu uso o Ubuntu porque o requisito de sistema é baixo do que o XP e também desempenho melhor do que o XP. Espero que minha resposta te ajude ..

Definitivamente, experimente o linux! O XP, incluindo todas as atualizações necessárias e Service Packs, faz com que um Notebook antigo diminua o ritmo de uso. O próximo grande blocker é o ano de 2014. A Microsoft não entregará mais atualizações para o XP a partir de 9 de abril. Após essa data, você pode ter certeza de obter mais e mais vírus e trojans após as falhas de segurança terem sido descobertas nas bibliotecas do Windows usadas pelas versões mais recentes e XP.

2GB de RAM devem estar ok para trabalhar com o Ubuntu / Kubuntu / Lubuntu / Xubuntu etc .... mas não espere um sistema rápido como o uso de um novo hardware.
