Ubuntu 12.04 - [drm] nouveau desconhecido porta i2c, não consigo usar o cartão PCI Express com saída VGA e HDMI

Question

Eu tenho este novíssimo cartão PCI-Express (comprei 10 deles geforce-gt-620).

onde estou usando 12.04 64 bits e tentando usar saídas VGA + Hdmi dessa placa. Mas o Ubuntu está jogando isso sem parar.

Mas eu tentei 12.10 mesmo cartão parece funcionar lá. Como posso fazer o mesmo cartão funcionar em 12.04? (porque em 12.10 eu tenho algum problema sério de dependências, não posso usar 12.10 a partir deste momento para esses cartões)

Eu tentei:

$ download kernel latest install it

Após a reinicialização eu posso ver a saída HDMI eu tenho exibição, mas o VGA não está mostrando nada.

installed Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit

Etapa 2:

sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-current # just remove it do not install anything

Etapa 3:

update the kernel
