Não é possível conectar-se ao hotspot Wi-Fi aberto criado pelo Android

Question

Estou tentando compartilhar minha conexão de dados 3G via hotspot Wi-Fi. Eu tenho um Hotspot aberto em execução no meu telefone (Xperia Neo V - MT11i - Android 2.3.4). Mas não consigo me conectar a ele do meu sistema Ubuntu. Aqui está o syslog enquanto tento me conectar a ele -
