Eu corro "sudo apt -y update" no meu servidor Ubuntu 16.04, mas recebi o seguinte erro:

Qual poderia ser o motivo? Como posso resolver este problema? Obrigada!

Isso acontece porque você ainda tem o arquivo sources.list do Ubuntu 13.10 em sua máquina:

Você pode usar sudo -i no terminal e copiar & amp; cole o seguinte (bloco completo) nele:

cat > /etc/apt/sources.list << EOF
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-backports main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-backports main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-security main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-security main restricted universe multiverse
#deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-proposed restricted main universe multiverse
#deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-proposed restricted main universe multiverse
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu xenial partner
deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu xenial partner
EOF

Isso substituirá seu arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list . Depois disso, você deve usar exit para sair da raiz.

Se você não deseja que todas as fontes de pacotes sejam ativadas, você pode alterar isso a partir do applet da GUI chamado 'Software e Atualizações' que você encontra dentro de suas configurações.

Então você deve fazer o obrigatório:

sudo apt clean
sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade
