Falha na instalação do GIMP devido a [duplicado]

Question

Estou tentando instalar o GIMP para Ubuntu 12.10 do centro do Ubunto SW, mas sempre que tento obter o replay, não consigo acessar o repositório e verificar meu connetction da Internet. Isso está funcionando corretamente com o Firefox e o Thunderbird. Além disso, aparece a informação de que o programa não seguro não pode ser instalado devido à falta de autenticação. Alguém pode dar uma explicação? Obrigado.  M.Manzini

Abra um terminal

Pressione Ctrl + Alt + T

Execute:

sudo -i
nano /etc/apt/sources.list

No arquivo aberto, exclua o conteúdo e cole isso:

## Uncomment the following two lines to fetch updated software from the network
deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu quantal main restricted
deb-src http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu quantal main restricted

Ctrl + O, salve o arquivo. Ctrl + X, fecha o nano.

Continue a execução em um terminal:

sudo -i
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install gimp
apt-get clean
