O diretório desaparece de repente, mas é detectado com ls

Então, eu tenho um disco rígido externo e ele está funcionando normalmente, até que de repente eu percebo (quando usando o windows) que algum diretório está faltando. então eu tentei acessar o meu disco rígido externo usando o ubuntu (nautilus) mas obter o mesmo resultado, então eu tento usar o terminal "ls -l" e obter esse resultado.
