Excluiu o kernel e não conseguiu recuperá-lo [fechado]

Eu apaguei acidentalmente o kernel que eu estava usando ( linux-image-3.5.0-27-generic ) e depois de reiniciar o sistema ele não inicializou mais. Felizmente ainda tenho alguns dos kernels antigos ( linux-image-3.5.0-26-generic ) e posso inicializá-los.

Então eu li um pouco sobre isso e reinstalei o linux-image-generic , linux-image-extra-3.5.0-27-generic e linux-image-3.5.0-27-generic , e finalmente atualizei o grub usando sudo update-grub . Tudo parece ser feito corretamente e minha lista de menu grub parece

Mas quando eu reinicio o computador, o menu grub se parece com o antigo, ou seja, as versões anteriores que eu deletei ainda estão listadas, e também quando tento inicializar o kernel mais recente ( 3.5.0.27 ) ele pára e nunca botas.

Há algo que eu fiz de errado ou há mais algumas coisas que preciso fazer?

Eu reinstalei o grub, atualizei e resolvi o problema!

sudo apt-get --reinstall install grub2
sudo update-grub
