Como posso resolver o problema de dependência ao instalar o libssl-dev ?

O problema:

$ sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

A minha pergunta é semelhante a esta - mas não, apt-get update não faz nada por mim.

A solução é garantir que as fontes de software incluam atualizações, da seguinte forma:

$ sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list
$ #add the following two lines to sources.list for raring-updates

 deb http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring main restricted
 deb-src http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring main restricted
+deb http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring-updates main restricted
+deb-src http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring-updates main restricted

$ sudo apt-get update
$ apt-cache policy libssl-dev

Você deve ver a saída que inclui raring-updates

$ sudo apt-get install libssl-dev

Deve funcionar desta vez!
