O Apt-get falhou ao atualizar em 12.10 [duplicado]

Question

Ao executar uma atualização de software, recebi uma mensagem informando que minhas conexões de rede não estão funcionando mais ou que Falha ao baixar informações do repositório. Eu já tentei reiniciar meu computador e executar o atualizador de software do terminal. Estou executando o Xubuntu 12.10.

O Xubuntu 12.10 já não é suportado, atingiu o Final da Vida. Os pacotes obsoletos são retirados após 12 meses, então parece que chegou a hora.

Para fazer o apt-get update funcionar, você simplesmente precisa editar o /etc/apt/sources.list e atualizar todos os URLs de security.ubuntu.com e archive.ubuntu.com para apontar para old-releases.ubuntu.com , conforme o seguinte comando sed:

sudo sed -i.bak -r 's/(archive|security).ubuntu.com/old-releases.ubuntu.com/g' /etc/apt/sources.list
