Powertop leva ao congelamento e erro SATA no Ubuntu 18.04

Atualmente estou executando uma nova instalação do Ubuntu 18.04 e tentando fazer as coisas funcionarem. Como o computador geralmente está em execução por muito tempo, tentei otimizar o uso de energia usando o powertop. Infelizmente, isso resulta em erros.

Primeiramente, a configuração do gerenciamento de energia do mouse USB para automático por echo 'auto' > '/sys/bus/usb/devices/2-1.2/power/control'; retorna em um congelamento do mouse. Executar echo 'on' > '/sys/bus/usb/devices/2-1.2/power/control'; torna o mouse utilizável novamente, mas isso não deve acontecer.

Além disso, Enable SATA link power management for host1 , portanto, echo 'min_power' > '/sys/class/scsi_host/host1/link_power_management_policy'; resulta em um congelamento de todo o sistema e a seguinte saída no syslog:

Eu tentei criar o autoconf a partir do link , mas infelizmente, autoconf && ./configure && ./make resulta em

Eu tentei ambos com o kernel principal do Ubuntu 17.10 e 4.16 e os problemas não apareceram. A configuração SATA também causou a saída das seguintes linhas no syslog:

mas o sistema continuou funcionando completamente. Ambos os erros persistem se eu rodar o Ubuntu 18.04 com o kernel 4.16.3, então eu suponho que esse é um problema do Ubuntu. São problemas conhecidos? Como lidar com esses problemas?
