Estou planejando alterar os ambientes de área de trabalho antes que o próximo LTS seja lançado e o suporte ao Unity seja finalizado. Eu procurei na internet por um tempo e eu tenho como instalar outros ambientes de desktop ou posts falando sobre versões mais antigas e usando PPAs, o que eu acho que não seria necessário, já que Budgie é um sabor oficial agora. Eu já tentei:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install budgie
sudo apt-get install budgie-desktop
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-budgie-desktop

We offer two stable releases - 17.10.1, and 16.04.3
18.04 is the next LTS and is currently in development - do not use this on production machines. 17.10.1 is the current stable release and follows Ubuntu support cadence - Oct 2017 to Jul 2018. 16.04.3 is community supported - it is supported until upstream ends support (no current plans) and thereafter, as long as budgie-remix users wish to maintain its support.
