Por que não consigo pingar uma impressora de rede de um computador específico somente na mesma rede?

Eu tenho uma pequena rede doméstica com alguns computadores / tablets e uma impressora habilitada para rede, todos conectados via wifi. O problema é que eu não consigo conectar (ping) a partir de um computador específico ("A", 192.168.8.101) para a impressora de rede (192.168.8.25), enquanto que ao mesmo tempo todos os outros computadores podem. Especificamente:

isso parece ser um problema de rede / roteamento, pois o ping da impressora de "A" me fornece uma mensagem de erro "host de destino não acessível"
de qualquer outro computador / tablet, o ping da impressora funciona e também é possível navegar até o servidor da impressora incorporado e imprimir
ping em qualquer outro computador de "A" funciona, a conectividade da Web também está OK
tabelas de roteamento ("impressão de rota") são idênticas em "A" e outras máquinas (veja abaixo)
"arp -a" NÃO mostra o endereço IP da impressora em "A", mas o faz em outras máquinas.

Eu já tentei:

desativando o firewall em "A" (não há software antivírus instalado)
adicionando uma rota estática à impressora
desativando todos os outros adaptadores de rede, exceto o adaptador Wi-Fi
adicionando uma entrada ARP estática usando o comando "netsh" (isso resulta em uma mensagem de erro "solicitação expirada", em vez de "host de destino não alcançável", ao pingar)
alterando o endereço IP da impressora
usando um endereço IP estático para a impressora.

Nada ajudou até agora. O computador "A" é o único que executa o Windows 8.1. Não sei se isso afeta o roteamento e / ou a resolução de endereços.

Gostaria de saber o que fazer em seguida para solucionar o problema. Há alguma configuração no sistema operacional que explique esse fenômeno?

Eu acredito que o problema real é que o adaptador Ethernet Ethernet 3 está tendo prioridade sobre WiFi e o ping está se perdendo dentro da rede virtual. Você deve tentar desativar a Ethernet 3 e tentar novamente.

Depois de muita pesquisa na web, encontrei uma solução parcial para o problema. Parece que esta impressora de rede específica (HP OfficeJet 8500 pro) tem um problema se houver também uma rede de 5 GHz presente. Eu desliguei o roteador, e de repente funciona (eu posso pingar e imprimir de todos os computadores).

No entanto, isso não explica por que anteriormente não era possível efetuar ping do computador A, mas funcionava de todos os outros computadores. Além disso, para referência futura, gostaria de saber como solucionar esse tipo de problema ... qualquer sugestão será bem-vinda!
