Estou tentando remover alguns segundos da frente de um fluxo de vídeo (áudio já excluído) , e estou obtendo resultados estranhos: eu acho que a cada segundo eu aumento < strong> -ss por, o arquivo resultante seria um segundo mais curto ... isso não parece ser o caso.

Para economizar espaço, alguns dos quadros são inter frames
Você só pode cortar o H.264 em um frame com AKA Intra-frame .
O que fiz foi transcodificar usando um codec sem perdas e, em seguida, reencodificar
