Sincronizando Bibliotecas do iPhoto

Minha esposa e eu mantemos bibliotecas do iPhoto separadas em nossos laptops. Nós dois temos nossas diferenças criativas sobre como as bibliotecas devem ser mantidas. :)

Eu tenho uma torre G5 no andar de baixo que serve como estação de trabalho / servidor de uso geral. Eu gostaria de configurar um trabalho de rsync para sincronizar as duas bibliotecas para uma biblioteca mestre no andar de baixo. Não sei por onde começar de uma forma que garanta que a nova biblioteca "Master" seja realmente utilizável no iPhoto.

Agora que eu digito isso, acho que eu poderia sincronizar ambas as bibliotecas separadamente e, ocasionalmente, mesclá-las manualmente ... Eu acho que gostaria de uma solução totalmente automatizada, se possível. Eu acho que isso seria possível com o rsync, mas não sei o suficiente sobre o banco de dados da biblioteca do iPhoto para saber quais opções de rsync seriam melhores.

O melhor que eu pude fazer foi usar o rsync para sincronizar as duas bibliotecas com a estação de trabalho / servidor no andar de baixo e mesclar manualmente as fotos. Tedious, sim, mas não conseguiu encontrar outro jeito.
