Eu carreguei recentemente um grande banco de dados (~ 5GB) de um SQLdump em um banco de dados local do servidor MySQL. Carregado bem depois de algumas tentativas, e inicialmente eu poderia consultar sem um problema, embora as consultas levaram ~ 1,5 minutos (o que não é ideal, mas bem).

Eu já aumentei meu max_allowed_packet
size em my.conf
