O Banshee não funciona mais após a atualização

Eu atualizei 11.04 para 11.10 usando a atualização online, e tudo correu bem, exceto pelo Banshee. Ele aparece sob o ícone de sons no painel e o ícone do programa é exibido em Aplicativos no Dash, mas clicar em um deles não faz nada (como tentar executá-lo a partir do terminal). Não há mensagens de erro ou outras indicações de que algo esteja errado.

Eu tentei desinstalá-lo e reinstalá-lo, mas recebi a mensagem "As dependências do pacote não podem ser resolvidas". Hmmm ... como eu consertaria isso?

Todas as respostas foram boas, e eu tentei o que pude, mas no final decidi que seria melhor fazer uma nova instalação. Se houvesse dependências não satisfeitas com o Banshee, onde mais poderia haver problemas? Então eu fiz backup e depois instalei tudo de novo, e agora me sinto muito bem com tudo. Sim, demorou mais tempo, mas agora estou bastante convertido para fazer novas instalações.

Eu tive um problema de atualização semelhante com o Banshee e o Liferea. A solução simples (para mim) era apenas destruir o máximo de configuração possível.

mv ~/.config/banshee-1{,-BACKUP}
mkdir ~/.config/banshee-1
cp ~/.config/banshee-1{-BACKUP,}/banshee.db

E depois execute o Banshee. Você deveria estar bem para ir.

Acabei de testar isso e parece funcionar (sua biblioteca está segura e, se ainda assim não funcionar, você pode restaurar apenas a partir da versão -BACKUP )

Remova ~/.cache/banshee-1 e execute banshee .

no terminal:

  

sudo apt-get compilação-dep banshee

se você receber erros, verifique qual software não suportado bloqueia suas dependências. no meu caso era vlc. remova-o completamente. então você pode reinstalar o banshee e vlc de fontes oníricas.
