Recentemente eu enviei um bug contra o que, de meu perspectiva, foi um bug muito irritante com o instalador do Ubuntu.
Parece, no entanto, que meus problemas de instalação do Ubuntu não estão relacionados ao Ubuntu, mas ao experimentar uma instalação do Manjaro Linux há alguns dias, eu acidentalmente selecionei "Encrypt disk" e "Use LVM", e assumiu que uma tabela de partições simples faria com que a criptografia desaparecesse.
Agora que eu tentei instalar o Ubuntu 14.04 com o Ubiquity travando no mesmo lugar, vejo que obviamente há um erro com o disco de alguma forma.
Ele não está danificado fisicamente, até onde eu sei, pelo status SMART (incluído abaixo), e gparted
não reclama de erros de IO
na formatação ou gravação do disco.
Também verifiquei os hashes e a integridade de todos os muitos LiveCDs que usei.
Assumindo que a criptografia é o problema, o que posso fazer para recuperar meu disco para que o Ubuntu seja instalado? Eu escrevo cada setor cheio de zeros? (Isso não levaria dias?)
