Como trocar as teclas Ctrl e Windows pelo xmodmap

Eu quero trocar as teclas Win e Ctrl do teclado usando o xkeycaps. Este é o arquivo .xmodmap que estou carregando quando o Ubuntu é iniciado, gerado com xkeycaps. Ele funciona bem para trocar as teclas Esc e Caps Lock .

Se o seu único objetivo for trocar Ctrl e Caps Lock , o arquivo que você está gerando pode ser um pouco exagerado.

Eu uso setxkbmap para alterar o layout, pois xmodmap falhou na configuração das minhas várias máquinas:

setxkbmap -option rctrl:swapcaps

e eu coloco isso no meu .xinitrc

Observe também que, ao experimentar, setxkbmap -option redefine tudo de volta ao layout inicial.

EDIT: eu encontrei este sobre link , que também descreve a redefinição usando setxkbmap
