resolvido revertendo para o kernel antigo .....
Tentei todas as outras postagens de "som que não funciona", acho que perdi a conta.
limpar / reinstalar o alsa e pulsar, reiniciar, adicionar usuário ao grupo de áudio, várias linhas no arquivo de configuração alsa, como "opções snd-hda-intel model=", em seguida, tentou diferentes opções genéricas, automáticas, básicas, padrão etc. tentou pulseaudio -k & amp; & amp; sudo alsa force-reload algumas vezes, com e sem reiniciar.
Hardware: ram de 16 gb, núcleo I7-4790, mboard Intel Haswell com som e gráficos onboard Multimídia: Adaptador de Áudio: HDA-Intel-HDA Intel HDMI SO: Servidor Ubuntu 14.04 com o Ubuntu-Desktop instalado.

UPDATE: Eu adicionei agora uma placa de som USB Creative Soundblaster play 2 e desativei o onboard do BIOS. Na minha área de trabalho Ubuntu funciona imediatamente, então o hardware funciona com certeza. No servidor não está fazendo nada. Ainda apenas uma saída fictícia nas configurações de som (pulso).
reinstalado / purgado / etc, mas sem sucesso.
alsamixer não está abrindo mais, proc / asound não existe
