O uso da CPU é sempre em torno de 40%. Eu uso push-to-talk e tive desinstalado pulseaudio . Agora eu uso Alsa. Eu nem preciso me conectar a um servidor. Ao simplesmente iniciar o TS, o uso da CPU sobe 40% e permanece lá.
O uso da CPU de 3.0.0-rc1 [Build: 14468] é constantemente 14%.

ATUALIZAÇÃO:
Graças ao link nickguletskii eu pesquisei por "alsa cpu usage" (sem aspas) e me levou a um fórum . Um usuário escreveu que, ao selecionar diretamente o hardware com "plughw: x.x", o impacto no desempenho do sistema não será afetado. Eu selecionei na configuração do TS 3 e funcionou.
Mas esta solução não é ideal porque agora nenhum outro programa pode acessar a saída de som.
UPDATE # 2
Eu segui a solução do nickguletskii e criei um arquivo .asoundrc na minha pasta pessoal. Agora as coisas estão ficando ainda piores, o uso da CPU está agora em 50%: -O.

Eu verifiquei que acessei o dispositivo correto da minha configuração do TS3. Quando eu seleciono diretamente o dispositivo, o uso da CPU é de 2%. Quando eu seleciono "Standart", agora vai até 50%.
Eu não sei o que estou fazendo de errado.
UPDATE # 3
Troquei a taxa para 22050, mas ainda não houve diferença para 44100. O uso da CPU está em 50%.
