apt update error. Arquivo de lançamento ausente [fechado]

Então eu recentemente me deparei com um problema enquanto tentava usar o comando "sudo apt update".

Eu tenho usado o Linux por um tempo, mas ainda sou um novato, então o que devo fazer?

Principalmente este erro ocorre quando o repositório em questão não possui um diretório correspondente à versão da sua distribuição.

Uma solução parcial que eu uso é ir ao site do repositório, verificar qual versão é a mais recente e substituir manualmente a minha distro em /etc/apt/sources.list.d files. Então eu atualizo e isso funciona bem, não há mais erros e eu posso instalar o software do repo.

No entanto, esse erro é suspeito sobre as atualizações de segurança do Ubuntu e eu não recomendo usar esse truque para eles ...
