Inventário de aplicativos que exigem o Rosetta

Eu nunca pretendo instalar o Rosetta no meu MacBook Pro atual, mas há alguns aplicativos antigos que migraram de um laptop antigo.

Antes de iniciar cada aplicativo e clicar no aviso, há uma maneira fácil de identificar aplicativos que precisem do Rosetta?

Com essa lista, posso optar por excluí-los ou reservar tempo para encontrar uma atualização.

O System Profiler da Apple ( /Applications/Utilities/System Profiler ) faz isso para aplicativos, extensões ( .kext s) e frameworks. Por exemplo, clique no item "Aplicativos" na lista de conteúdos à esquerda e, em seguida, observe a coluna "Tipo". Eu costumo clicar no cabeçalho da coluna para classificar por tipo.

Para outros binários executáveis que não são aplicativos completos, como ferramentas de linha de comando, você pode conseguir um script de shell que repita $PATH (ou todo o sistema de arquivos) e chama file em tudo, grepping para "ppc".

Veja o que eu fiz antes de encontrar a resposta do Spiff.

Escrevi um script simples chamado ppconly para verificar se há executáveis ppc. Conteúdos:

#! /bin/bash

file "$1" | head -1 | grep "Mach-O executable ppc"

Em seguida, este comando find foi processado em /Applications :

find . -type f -perm +111 -exec ppconly {} \; ; say "find rosetta completed";

(a parte say no final me deu uma notificação de áudio quando foi concluída)

Tipos:

  • Aplicativo (Intel) = Não requer Rosetta, só roda em processadores Intel
  • Aplicativo (Universal) = Não requer o Rosetta
  • Aplicação (PowerPC) = Requer Rosetta
