OK, eu encontrei uma solução para mim mesmo, e estou deixando aqui, caso outras pessoas com o mesmo problema encontrem isso. Primeira execução sudo apt-get install v86d Em seguida, execute cat /sys/bus/platform/drivers/uvesafb/uvesafb.0/vbe_modes e lembre-se do maior dos modos que ele gera. (Se isso não produzir nada, você pode precisar reiniciar o computador depois de instalar o v86d, não consigo me lembrar). Em seguida, execute gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub e torne o grub_cmdline_linux_default parecido com este: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset video=uvesafb:mode_option=1024x768-32,mtrr=3,scroll=ywrap" , verifique também se esse arquivo contém a linha GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=something or other . Em caso afirmativo, remova-o. Mas substitua 1024x768-32 pela maior resolução listada da segunda etapa. Em seguida, execute gksudo gedit /etc/initramfs-tools/modules e adicione isso ao final: uvesafb mode_option=1024x768-32 mtrr=3 scroll=ywrap Substituindo novamente 1024x768-32 pelo modo que você encontrou. Para mim, tudo que eu precisava fazer era adicionar nomodeset a ambos

no arquivo / etc / default / grub e execute sudo update-grub depois.

Sugiro tentar isso primeiro antes de passar por todas essas etapas complicadas, pois pode ser desnecessário:)
