É possível bloquear uma resolução de tela no XP

Eu tenho uma caixa de XP conectada a um switch KVM, toda vez que o computador é inicializado, a resolução da tela é redefinida para a resolução máxima dos switches, que é diferente da resolução nativa da tela. Gostaria de definir a resolução da tela e bloqueá-la para que não seja possível alterar.
