Como instalar o SmartSVN no Ubuntu?

Eu quero instalar o SmartSVN no Ubuntu. Eu instalei o pacote sun-java6-jre mais recente, mas ainda estou recebendo erros como

An incompatible Java version has been detected which has been reported to cause strange bugs. Aborting now.

Please install the latest release of the SUN Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) from:

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/

or if it is already installed, make sure it is used.

Como faço isso?

Talvez você também tenha outro runtime Java instalado e não tenha configurado o Sun JRE como padrão. Execute sudo update-alternatives --config java para alterar o JRE padrão ou forneça ao SmartSVN o caminho completo para o Sun JRE ( /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/bin/java ).
