Linksys WiFi usb problemas dongle e linux

Eu tenho um dongle usb Linksys WUSB54GC e esgotei tudo o que sei sobre como fazer essa coisa funciona no linux. Estou usando o Fedora 13. Como não está pronto, não consigo visualizar nenhuma rede. Qualquer ideia seria ótima.

lspci -v não lista o item.

Seu driver parece ter sido carregado corretamente.

Se você fizer um iwlist wlan0 scan , ele retornará com uma lista de redes na área?

você tentou conectar-se manualmente a uma rede sem fio com algo assim?:

 iwconfig interface key xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

Acho que só funciona para WEP. Você provavelmente precisará do wpa_supplicant para se conectar a redes criptografadas WPA.

Isso é o que eu consegui antes de mudar para o Ubuntu. Todos os dispositivos Wi-Fi que utilizei trabalham automaticamente com um bom gui (gestor de rede?). Isso foi anos atrás, embora ... talvez seja consertado e tudo que você precisa é wpa_supplicant ou algo assim.
