como configurar o PCI E RTL8101 / 2 / 6E para detectar o link

Eu tenho um notebook dell recém-adquirido que veio com uma placa Ethernet PCI E RTL8101 / 2 / 6E instalada. Depois de vasculhar a Internet, não consigo encontrar nenhuma solução para detectar o cabo cat5 quando conectado. Verifiquei o roteador e o cabo em outros dispositivos, mas não sei como verificar a própria NIC.

Como faço para determinar corretamente se a NIC é capaz de detectar um link ou fisicamente quebrada?

Editar: incluiu ethtool eth0 com sudo de permissões em vez de sem. dmesg não possui entradas que correspondem a dmesg | grep -i 'eth' .

Se tiver LEDs, esses dois LEDs (Link e Atividade) são controlados por hardware da NIC. Então, enquanto o cabo está conectado:

  • Link=off, ACT=off : é um problema físico, nenhuma conexão foi detectada. (Normalmente conexão tomada / tomada ou cabo)
  • Link=blink, ACT=off : A maioria dos NICs significa um erro de conexão que pode ser detectado, é um problema físico. (Ex: apenas um par de fios conectados)
  • Link=on, ACT=* : a conexão física está bem. Verifique no nível do software (driver).

Testado primeiro e terceiro casos usando um plug de loopback de Ethernet RJ45 caseiro com e sem driver carregado ( e1000e da Intel) nesta máquina:

Se nenhum LED for o seu caso:

  • Verifique nos LEDs do dispositivo na outra extremidade do cabo (switch, roteador, outro laptop, adaptador Ethernet USB adicional no mesmo PC ...). Você pode usar as mesmas ferramentas de linha de comando se for outro laptop ou adaptador Ethernet USB no mesmo PC)

    Se Link=on no outro dispositivo, sua conexão física estiver correta, verifique o driver.

Execute watch -n 1 ethtool eth0 e observe Link detected: yes .

Eu tenho o mesmo hardware. Isso funciona para mim.
